4-Day Mount Meru Trekking
Overview
Rising majestically within Mount Meru, located inside Arusha National Park, this trek offers one of Tanzania’s most rewarding mountain adventures. As the country’s second-highest peak and Africa’s fifth tallest, Mount Meru is often used as preparation for Mount Kilimanjaro, but stands out as a spectacular climb on its own.
The 4-day itinerary allows for better acclimatization compared to shorter options, increasing summit success rates while offering a more relaxed pace. Trekkers pass through lush rainforest, open moorlands, and alpine desert zones, with frequent wildlife sightings including giraffes, buffalos, antelopes, and baboons.
For safety, all treks are accompanied by a professional armed ranger, making the experience both secure and educational.
