5-Day Mount Kilimanjaro Trekking Via Marangu Route
Overview
Marangu Route 5 Days Kilimanjaro Trekking
The Marangu Route 5 Days Kilimanjaro Trekking is one of the most popular ways to climb Africa’s highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro. Known as the “Coca-Cola Route,” this route is the only one that offers comfortable hut accommodation at every camp, making it ideal for trekkers who prefer not to camp.
This 5-day itinerary follows a direct path to the summit, using the same route for both ascent and descent. While it is considered a moderate difficulty climb, the shorter duration means less time for acclimatization, making proper preparation essential for reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895m).
Trekkers will pass through diverse landscapes, including lush rainforest, moorland, alpine desert, and the arctic summit zone. The highlight of the trek is the midnight summit push from Kibo Hut, passing Gilman’s Point before reaching the iconic Uhuru Peak at sunrise.
With experienced guides from On Target Safaris, you are guaranteed a safe, well-organized, and unforgettable Kilimanjaro adventure.
