Detailed Itinerary

DAY 2: Ngorongoro Crater Safari

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before departing for the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater.

The journey takes around two hours, and along the way there are opportunities to spot wildlife and admire the beautiful landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world, measuring approximately 20 km across and 600 meters deep. This remarkable natural wonder hosts one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa.

During your full-day game drive, you may see:

  • Endangered black rhinos

  • Lions and spotted hyenas

  • Large buffalo herds

  • Zebras and wildebeests

  • Hippos in freshwater pools

You will also visit Lake Magadi, a shallow alkaline lake known for its flamingos and waterbirds.

In the late afternoon, you will drive to your lodge near the crater where you can relax and enjoy dinner.

DAY 1: Flight from Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park

Your safari begins early in the morning with a hotel pick-up from Zanzibar at approximately 6:00 AM (depending on your hotel location). You will be transferred to the airport for your scheduled 8:00 AM flight to the Central Serengeti.

After a scenic flight over Tanzania’s landscapes, you will land at Seronera Airstrip in Serengeti National Park around 10:40 AM. Upon arrival, your professional On Target Safari guide will welcome you and begin your first exciting game drive.

The Central Serengeti is famous for its incredible wildlife density and is one of the best areas in Africa to see predators. The region hosts large populations of lions, elephants, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as massive herds of zebras and wildebeests.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic site inside the park before continuing your afternoon safari until approximately 5:00 PM.

Later in the evening, head to your luxury lodge where dinner will be served between 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM.

DAY 2: Tarangire National Park Safari

Tarangire National Park Safari + Flight Back to Zanzibar

After breakfast at around 7:00 AM, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic wildlife parks.

Tarangire is famous for its giant baobab trees and large elephant herds. The park’s lifeline, the Tarangire River, attracts huge numbers of animals, particularly during the dry season.

During your safari, you may encounter:

  • Elephants gathering near the river

  • Lions hunting across the savannah

  • Leopards resting in trees

  • Giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests grazing nearby

After enjoying a picnic lunch inside the park, you will continue your game drive before heading to Arusha Airport for your 4:30 PM flight back to Zanzibar.

You will arrive in Zanzibar at approximately 5:45 PM, where our driver will transfer you back to your hotel.
