Detailed Itinerary

DAY 2: Serengeti National Park Safari

After breakfast at around 6:30 AM, depart for the legendary Serengeti National Park.

Your journey passes through the beautiful Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with a stop at the historic Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important paleoanthropological sites in the world.

After arriving at Naabi Hill Gate, you will enjoy lunch before continuing with an afternoon Serengeti game drive.

The Serengeti is one of Africa’s most famous wildlife destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its extraordinary wildlife populations and the annual Great Migration.

DAY 1: Tarangire National Park Game Drive

After arriving at Kilimanjaro International Airport and completing immigration procedures, you will meet your On Target Safari driver-guide and begin your journey to Tarangire National Park.

The drive from the airport takes approximately two hours through scenic countryside and traditional Tanzanian villages.

Upon arrival at the park, you will begin your first exciting game drive. Tarangire is famous for its massive elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and the life-giving Tarangire River, which attracts wildlife during the dry season.

During your safari you may encounter:

  • Large elephant families

  • Lions and leopards

  • Giraffes and zebras

  • Buffalo and wildebeests

  • Numerous bird species

You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your game drive until evening.

DAY 3: Full-Day Serengeti Safari

Wake up to the sounds of the African wilderness in the heart of the Serengeti.

After breakfast, begin a full-day game drive exploring the endless plains and acacia-dotted landscapes of Serengeti National Park.

The Central Serengeti offers some of the best wildlife viewing in Africa, with large populations of predators and herbivores.

During the day you may encounter:

  • Lions and cheetahs hunting on the plains

  • Leopards resting in trees

  • Elephants traveling in family groups

  • Massive herds of zebras and wildebeests

  • Gazelles, elands, and other antelope

After an incredible day of wildlife viewing, return to your camp for dinner and relaxation.

DAY 4: Ngorongoro Crater Safari

After an early breakfast, depart for the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater.

During your crater safari you may see:

  • Lions and spotted hyenas

  • Large buffalo herds

  • Zebras and wildebeests

  • Hippos in freshwater pools

Bird lovers will also enjoy spotting flamingos and other water birds around the crater lakes.

After enjoying a picnic lunch inside the crater, continue your wildlife viewing before beginning the scenic drive back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport, marking the end of your safari.
