DAY 2: Tarangire National Park Game Drive

Depart early from Arusha and head to Tarangire National Park, famous for its towering baobab trees and large elephant herds. The park is also home to lions, leopards, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and an abundance of bird species.

Enjoy a full-day game drive in a private 4x4 with a pop-up roof, perfect for photography. Pause for a picnic lunch in the park while observing wildlife along the Tarangire River. Afternoon drives allow you to see predators in action or witness elephants bathing in the river.

DAY 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by your On Target Safari representative. After clearing customs and immigration, you’ll be transferred to your lodge in Arusha, the gateway to Northern Tanzania’s safari circuit.

Spend the afternoon relaxing at your lodge or exploring the vibrant city. Optional activities include a visit to the local Maasai market, a coffee plantation tour, or a short stroll around Arusha National Park to acclimatize before your safari adventure begins. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner and a briefing on your upcoming safari.

DAY 3: Transfer to Central Serengeti & Game Drive

After an early breakfast, journey through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Olduvai Gorge, an archaeological site known as the “Cradle of Mankind.” Stop for photos and a brief exploration before continuing to Serengeti National Park.

Arrive at Central Serengeti and embark on a half-day game drive. Encounter lions lounging under acacia trees, elephants grazing, and zebras and wildebeests moving in herds. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, then check in at your luxury tented camp for dinner.
